Dr. Melike Külahçı has been an ISHRS full member since 1995 and Medical Director of Transmed since 1994, making this arguably the oldest continuously-operating dedicated hair restoration clinic in Turkey. She served on the board of the European Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (1999–2001) and trained in German hair surgery clinics (1993–1995).
