How the Spain price band was sourced

Spain is not a per-graft market at all, it is the closed-package market that set out to take Turkey's European volume, and its clinics compete on flat all-in prices, frequently with no follicle cap. Clínica Esbeltia (Málaga) publishes an explicit table: €2,695 / 1,500 UF, €2,895 / 2,000 UF, €3,095 / 2,500 UF, €3,495 / 3,000 UF (≈€1.24 per follicular unit); Clínica Ibiza (Madrid) sells €2,990 'sin límite de unidades foliculares' all-inclusive, rising to €3,495 and €3,695 for packs with added PRP and mesotherapy; Clínica Capilar Velázquez (C/ Velázquez 115, Madrid) publishes Bronce €2,900 / Plata €3,499 / Oro €4,199; Insparya, the Cristiano Ronaldo-backed group, averages €2,995–3,500; ITC Medical (Sabadell/Barcelona) starts at €3,000. Buyers are mostly domestic Spaniards, about 15,000 a year flew to Turkey pre-pandemic, plus growing European inbound. What makes the headline misleading: 'unlimited follicular units' is bounded by the donor area, and the clinics themselves state they extract only 2,500–3,500 UF per session; the €2,990 price assumes a fully shaven FUE at a high-volume chain; and dermatologist- or plastic-surgeon-led work in Madrid still reaches €7,000–9,990, with eldiario.es putting the Madrid band at €2,900 to over €7,000 and a moderate case at €3,000–5,000. The ISHRS has warned that Spain's post-2020 price war has drawn unqualified operators.

Quoted in EUR, and almost always as a closed package (paquete / precio cerrado) rather than per unit. Converted at 1 EUR = 1.1534 USD (1 USD = 0.867027 EUR, open.er-api.com, 13 Aug 2026). Per-graft figures here are DERIVED by dividing published package prices by the clinics' own stated UF counts, e.g. Esbeltia €3,095 ÷ 2,500 UF = €1.24/UF; Mundo Clínica €2,695 above 2,000 UF ≈ €1.08–1.35/UF. Spanish sources that do quote a unit rate cite €1.5–3 per injerto; the €3.20/UF top of my band is derived from premium Madrid surgeon-led totals (€7,000–8,000 for a 2,500-UF case).

What we could not verify in Spain

The gaps are part of the record. As of 2026-08-14:

  • 1 clinic does not name a current surgeon anywhere we could find. That is itself a signal.
  • 4 name a surgeon we could not confirm in an authority body's own directory. The name may be real and simply unregistered there.
  • 7 publish no price of their own, so their figure is the Spain market estimate, marked with a dashed outline and never presented as a quote.
  • 7 carry ratings on only one platform.
  • 8 do not document who performs the incisions and extraction, surgeon or technician.
  • 6 have no photo we could attribute to a verifiable source.

Nothing here is pay-to-list, and no clinic can pay to have a flag removed. How we verify.

Hair transplant clinics in Spain: common questions

How many hair transplant clinics in Spain are actually verified?
10 clinics in Spain cleared our bar of at least two independent sources (search, maps, community threads and credential registries), with the clinic's own website never counting as one of the two. 5 reach Tier 1: a named surgeon confirmed in an authority body's own directory, plus an accreditation. 9 name a current surgeon at all.
How much does a hair transplant cost in Spain?
$1.27–$3.70 per graft, which works out at about $3,350–$8,100 all-in for a 2,500-graft case. Spain is not a per-graft market at all, it is the closed-package market that set out to take Turkey's European volume, and its clinics compete on flat all-in prices, frequently with no follicle cap. A fuller breakdown, including what a quote leaves out, is on our Hair transplant cost in Spain page.
Can I trust the reviews shown for clinics in Spain?
Read them as separate signals. 3 of these 10 clinics carry ratings on two or more independent platforms, shown side by side rather than blended into one number, because averaging hides exactly the disagreement worth noticing. The remaining 7 have only one platform, which is a thinner signal and is marked as such.
Are there hair-mill risks in Spain?
2 clinics here carry a hair-mill flag: Insparya (Insparya Hair Company), Quirónsalud (hair transplant unit, Madrid). A hair mill is a high-volume operation where technicians, not the named surgeon, do most of the surgery. 2 of the 10 clinics here document who actually performs the incisions and extraction. How to spot one.
